Attention Autism
Attention Autism is an intervention approach by Speech and Language Therapist Gina Davies that aims to work on the early fundamentals of Communication and language, including awareness of others, attention, listening, shared attention, switching attention, and turn-taking.
Attention skills are integral to how we connect with people, the world around us, and how we learn. Many of our learners find these social communication skills difficult. Using Gina Davies' Attention Autism approach, we can make interactions irresistible by using activities worthy of our learners' attention. If the learner is having fun, they will be more likely to join in and engage.
