Family Support Warwickshire



Warwickshire SEND Information, Advice and Support Service supports parents and carers of all Warwickshire children with special educational needs and disability (SEND), whether they are of pre-school age, or in a mainstream or special school.


Who we are
There are six members of the team.

Dawn Lamont (Caseworker), Dawn Rowley (Support Caseworker), Wendy Griffin (Caseworker), LindaSaw (Caseworker) and Jo Gordon (Support Assistant).


What we do

We support parents and carers of children with SEND in a variety of ways, for example, by providing:

  • one-to-one educational support
  • impartial advice and information about special educational needs
  • support at meetings (eg with schools or the local authority)
  • support during assessment for a statement of SEND
  • liaison with schools, the LA, support services, local statutory and voluntary organisations
  • written information on SEND procedures
  • workshops for schools, governors, early years providers and statutory agencies
  • representation on strategic groups to promote parents’ views
  • liaison with the West Midlands SENDIAS Network and the National SENDIAS Network
