Tiger Class are a discoverer/investigator class. This year we will be focusing on communication and positive interactions to ensure all learners feel safe, happy and have positive relationships with peers. We will focus on developing confident and happy learners who are equipped with independence and skills needed to make the most of their learning to each individual need.
This half term Tiger class have explored position and direction, we took the opportunity to use the outside area for this while also enjoying the snow. We have been looking at our bodies and how to keep healthy. We focused how to keep our bones, organs and muscles healthy. For our Tudor topic we have made timelines showing the monarchs of this time period, with a focus on King Henry VIII and his many wives.
This half term in Tiger class we have been exploring addition in Maths using different interactive resources such as Numicon, multi-link cubes and even dinosaurs. This past week we have had a very exciting visit from the Zoo Lab, everyone had the chance to interact with a snake, giant snail, rat and two very charismatic frogs. |
We have worked on addition and subtraction in maths and more recently on shapes and patterns. We have enjoyed exploring the book caring for your lion and have immersed ourselves in a number of sensory activities to support our understanding of the story, learning all about animals and focused on learning about different habitats as well as looking at the different animals we might have at home. We always look forward to our Tuesday morning swims.
