Welcome to Australia class, our timetable includes the core subjects English, Reading and Maths as well as Health and Well-Being, RHSE, PE and Science. We strive to develop close relationships with learners to support their physical, emotional and communication needs as well as supporting their academic progress.
Exciting moments from Australia will appear in this space, including any pictures or videos we take. Please keep checking in, in order to see what the learners have been up to!
We have written letters and also learned about logistics and the postal service to find out how letters and other things move around the country. We learnt about the rainforest and its importance to our planet. We have also enjoyed a variety of team games, in PE, particularly tag rugby, practising our passing and catching skills as well as our running and try scoring. In Maths we have been working hard at using money to find change from different amounts.
We are reading “The Tunnel” and exploring newspapers. In Science, we enjoyed making ice cream, we are working on confidence and self-esteem alongside the effect our words have on other people. RE and World Views centred around, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, discussing how we would like to be treated. In My Place in the World, we have been looking at the Alps, comparing the physical and human geographies of Innsbruck and Rugby. |
