As part of Key Stage 2's Geography unit on Australia and the RE topic 'Can stories teach us how to behave?' and how religion tells us to show kindness to animals, the learners had an exciting visit from Zoo Lab, where they had the opportunity to interact with various animals while demonstrating kindness and care.
All the learners we so motivated and engaged with the different animals. They were introduced to a giant snail, some frogs, a snake and a rat called Milo. They were all able to get up close and touch the animals, we also got told some really intresting facts about them.
Did you know snails have the amazing ability to fully retract their eyes, and their eye stalks, into their bodies. This is a great way to look after their eyes and prevent them from getting harmed.
