Students can be part of the Post 16 department for three years, until the end of the academic year in which they are 19. The curriculum has an emphasis on practical and functional activities, including skills for life and work related learning. There is a focus on transitions, moving on and growing up and students are encouraged to take more responsibility for their own learning, with the support of the environment and expert staff. Students have the opportunity to undertake work experience, supported or unsupported, and work in the community.
