Spring 2024

Giraffe class have had a very busy and fun half term. In Food Technology we have been learning the skills to cut up, wash and peel fruit and vegetables. We have also been learning about healthy eating and how exercise helps us to keep healthy too.

In English we have based all of our activities on the story The Rainbow Fish. We have really enjoyed listening to and anticipating what is going to happen next in the sensory story and using props to retell the stories ourselves.

In History we have been learning about toys in the past, present and future. We have had fun playing with all the toys and exploring what they are made out of. We noticed that old toys are made out of wood and new toys are mainly made out of plastic.

In science we have been looking at what plants need to grow. We have planted runner bean seeds and cress. We have been looking at our plants and noticing what changes happen as they grow
