Welcome to Brazil Class

We are in the upper school - KS4 Investigator Class; we have four house teams in our class, Rio, Brasilia, Salvador and Manaus – this gives our learners the opportunity to follow a clear structure and routine, interacting and working together as a house to complete given tasks and compete against the other houses – as they like a healthy challenge. Our learners thrive on this and look forward to their weekly ‘celebration Friday’ where they get rewarded for their hard work in the week with ‘certificates’ and ‘special mentions’.​

As a class we work hard towards achieving our lesson objectives, learners in our class learn through discussion, practice, scaffolded lessons and keeping things engaging and fun.​

We aim to get our learners ready for their Functional Skills in Maths and English, enrich their reading and handwriting skills through our bespoke curriculum, giving everyone the chance to learn and achieve at their own pace. We feel it is very important to check-in with our learners everyday supporting them with their needs helping them to recognise and use appropriate strategies to self-regulate. We are very excited about this year, and look forward to sharing all of our wonderful achievements with you.​

Autumn 2024

We have been working hard at forest school crafting, using saws, drills and chisels sculpting and crafting using wood also working as part of a team. We have been looking at Coordinates in Maths, in English they have been looking at how children can change the world, and will be incorporating mental health in with that, looking at what Brazil class can do to improve their mental health over this festive period which may help others, using recyclable items.
