In Tiger class we focus on developing confident and happy learners who are equipped with independence and skills needed to make the most of their learning to each individual need. We learn best through our play-based learning tasks and encourage learners to develop their social interaction skills with their peers in class.
Exciting moments from Tiger class will appear in this space, including any pictures or videos we take. Please keep checking in, in order to see what the learners have been up to!
This term Tiger class have been learning about the seasonal changes that happen throughout the year as part of their Science lessons. They have learnt about the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. They learnt about the various weather conditions that occur through the months through observation and weather reporting. They also enjoyed talking about the leaves on the trees, noticing that they change colours throughout the year and designing their own images of the seasonal trees. Their favourite lesson was when they undertook their own experiment and had to predict which variant would melt the ice in the colder months the fastest, the majority predicted that the hot water would melt the ice the fastest and they were right!
This half term in Tiger class, learners have been developing their skills to work kitchen appliances in ICT. With support, they learnt how to plug the plugs into the sockets and operate the appliances accordingly to make their food items safely. They have listened and understood the rules of how to safely operate the appliances incredibly well, which has allowed them to use the learnt skills to independently make their own Christmas treats to take home!
